FOR SALE:  1981 Mack CF 686F Pumper.  Original year the truck was built was 11/1980, Mileage ­ 11,812  VIN- 1MIA139C4BM001423; GVW ­ 33,2800# Front axle ­ 12080# Rear axle ­ 21200#.  Diesel engine Automatic transmission.  Overall condition ­ Fair to Good, 30’2” overall length 2-door cab with seating in rear cab for 2 and seating in front cab for three . Driver has a separate driver’s seat and passenger and officer has a 2-man bench with air pak bracket.  Streamlite light boxes, rechargeable.  2 ­ air pak brackets in rearward facing seat. Engine tunnel houses the maxidine diesel turbocharged 350 HP engine, fully enclosed Interior cab portion of this truck and vinyl interior condition is excellent.  Rear and Front tires in excellent condition. Front of cab has chrome extended bumper with hose tray, front suction terminating with 6” thread .  2 ­ Tunnel lights mounted front of cab as well as polished front grille area and front headlight bezel area, Chrome headlight bezels, Guide Arrow turn signal Q2B siren, mounted, recessed center front of cab with chrome sound housing toward front  Above the polished trim is the Mack emblem, gold bulldog and chrome rail below windshield level. Mounted top cab roof are two (2) spotlights, front of cab, one each side, two (2) chrome air horns and full length federal light bar complete with a lot of lights.
Koeher battery charger installed.  Paint is white.  Rear lights include two (2) red strobe lights on rear stanchions and two (2) spotlights on rear stanchions.  Midship mounted pump on driver’s side.  Chrome Hannay electric rewind booster reel complete with 200’ 1” hose and chrome booster nozzle with pistol grip; rollers passenger’s side. 2 150’ PRECONNECTS. Mounted below pump panel on driver’s side is a large aluminum wheel choc . Stainless steel pump panel on driver’s side is for a 1250 GPM 2-stage Waterous pump with electric transfer valve and indicator light.  Discharges on left pump panel include: 2 ­ 2.5” discharges 1 ­ 2.5” gated inlet 1 ­ 6” gated inlet- Pump panel right side includes: 2 ­ 2.5” discharges, 6” intake 2.5” gated inlet passenger’s side Hinged pump inspection door, Compartments have interior rust and include:  Large double door compartment in front of the wheels, each side of truck and double door, large compartment behind rear wheels, On the truck, there is a 10’ folding aluminum attic ladder and there is a 3-section, 35 ft. aluminum extension ladder and a 14 ft. aluminum roof ladder with hooks and a pike pole. Truck runs and has been partially dismantled (equipment brackets, trim, lights, siren speaker, etc., but not body panels, fenders, etc) in preparation for painting. Some rewiring done with a few new gauges. Estimated 750 - 1000 gal tank. This is a big, solid truck. Pictures show truck stored outside and prior to disassembly and rebuild of brakes. Has been stored inside so no weather damage has occurred. Minimal rust, body and cab solid, runs good & pump works. With paint job, reassembly & TLC - this will be a nice impressive truck. FOR SALE:  A 1948 open cab Mack EF. The vehicle has an Eastern Fire Apparatus body and a front mounted 500 gpm pump with a double 2 1/2 inch discharge and a 4 inch suction. A 650 gallon water storage tank exist. There is a 1 inch rear-mounted booster line, with nozzle. Tire are in excellent shape. Paint is good condition although there are a few areas need to be redone. Cab in good shape. Hose bed needs to be redone. Lights all present. Truck originally served in New Jersey, but later served Clarendon Vermont. Truck received extensive restoration in 1981. FOR SALE:  I have recently acquired a 1945 American Lafrance fire truck with a Lycoming V-12 engine. The truck is complete and even has ladders and hoses, although it is in need of restoration.  The truck is currently located in Eugene, Oregon and I am in New Orleans. At some point, it was owned by the San Jose Fire Department and the Christmas Valley Fire Department.   A restored 1940 model which is almost identical can be seen on the American Lafrance website in their museum section.
